Sandoval Elementary School recognized the Students of the Month for May. The students were chosen because of their outstanding display of CITIZENSHIP, such as taking care of the community, showing respect and devotion to one's country, having a willingness to give their time and talents to help others, and following the laws and rules even when out of school. The assembly this month was sponsored by Day Macz Funeral Home of Sandoval.

It is with much sadness that we inform you that, following the tragic accident on Sunday evening. Sandoval CUSD 501 will support our Blackhawk community during this difficult time, we will have grief counselors available at both buildings for any student or staff member that needs them. All absences for today will be excused.

The students were chosen because of their outstanding display of INTEGRITY, such as doing what is right even when no one is watching, maintaining a good reputation, being reliable at all times by making safe and appropriate choices, and forgiving others and taking responsibility for his/her own choices. The assembly this month was sponsored by Brenda Kunick.
Those selected were Avalynn Marcketti, Olivia Gresham, Kynleigh Wooters, Tawnee Felty, Emery Engelhardt, Sadie McCurley, Bo Martinez, Harper Gore, Maycie Higgins, Malcolm Walta, Turner Hodge, Chad Brown, Everett Engelhardt, Adam Eagan, Alyssa Jones and Xander Hempen.

Blackhawk Families: Tomorrow Friday April 22nd the High School will be partnering with our first responders to demonstrate a Prom mock Crash. Fire Trucks, police, and ambulances will be at the Jr/Sr high school around 1:30. Both Schools will dismiss at normal time.

Blackhawk Families: Thursday April 14th through Monday April 18th is spring break. There will be no student attendance days during the break. Have a very Happy Easter.

The assembly this month was sponsored by Sandoval Woman's Club with Linda Lutz as a representative for the presentation.

High School Graduation will be on May 13th at 6:00pm
8th Grade Graduation will be on May 18th at 6:00pm
Both Graduations will be outside, weather permitting.

Due to the road construction in Junction City on Van Buren street, the buses will break up the route. Please keep a look at for your student if they are riding the bus and live in that area.

Sandoval Blackhawk Families: This is a reminder that tomorrow March 4 is an early dismissal day. The elementary school will dismiss at 12:40. The Jr/Sr high school will dismiss at 12:50.

The students were chosen because of their outstanding display of HONESTY, such as telling the truth at all times regardless of the consequences, being reliable, showing loyalty to friends by refraining from gossip or hurtful words, and being trustworthy. The assembly this month was sponsored by Angie's Hair Express of Sandoval.
