Sandoval CUSD Families: This is a reminder that the last student attendance day for students will be Monday May 22nd 2023. The Elementary School will dismiss at 11:00am, the Jr/Sr High School will dismiss at 11:10am. We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable summer. Sandoval Elementary School recognized the Students of the Month for May. The students were chosen because of their outstanding display of CITIZENSHIP, such as taking care of the community, showing respect and devotion to one's country, having a willingness to give their time and talents to help others, and following the laws and rules even when out of school. The assembly this month was sponsored by Leetronics.
Those recognized were Kyson Skurat, Leeam Winters, Corbin Keller, Kimmi Jenkins, Elijah Wilkins, Grayson Nehrt, Emma Simmons, Joseph Wilkins, Julian Sharkey, Isaak Peak, Carter Groh, Kaylee McCormick, JaceLynn Hopkins, and Wyatt Foster. Sandoval Elementary School recognized the Students of the Month for April. The students were chosen because of their outstanding display of INTEGRITY, such as doing what is right even when no one is watching, maintaining a good reputation, being reliable at all times, and forgiving others and taking responsibility for choices. The sponsor this month is Lanie Marie Hester Memorial Fund (Jennifer Hodge).
The students receiving the honor were Rhett McHenry, Scarlett Williams, Jaylyn Laverty, Jonah Dahl, EmberLynn Hopkins, Natalie Melton, Everett Acevedo, Evette Acevedo, Maycie Higgins, Kentley Lyons, Kolten Calhoun, Avery Horn, Parker Walta and Nathaniel Tarlton. Dear parents and community members,
Sandoval CUSD 501 was notified by local law enforcement that there have been threats made to regional 911 centers towards schools across the state of Illinois today. Thankfully, all threats have been unfounded. We have not received any threats towards our school district. Our students and staff are safe. We will continue to monitor the situation and work closely with local and area law enforcements.
