Blackhawk Sports reminder! Today we will be offering sports and school physicals for all students at the Jr/Sr high school until finished then move to the grade school for $20. Physicals are required to participate in sports, band, incoming kindergarten, incoming 6th grade, and incoming freshmen for the 2026-2027 school year. There will be no participation, including open gyms, next year with no physical. Students do not have to stay the entire day. They can leave once their physical is completed. This is a quick and easy way to become compliant for the 2026-2027 school year!

Blackhawk families, school will be in session tomorrow, Monday, March 2, 2026, for all students at both the Elementary School and the Jr./Sr. High School. The waterline has been fully repaired, and the boil‑water order has officially been lifted by local authorities. With these issues resolved, our buildings are safe, fully operational, and ready for a normal school day.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation during this unexpected disruption. Thank you to our maintenance team and community partners for their quick work in restoring full service. We look forward to welcoming students back tomorrow and returning to our regular schedule.

Sandoval Jr./Sr. High School and Sandoval Elementary will be in session tomorrow, January 29th. We’ve been driving and checking the roads, while there are still a few slick spots out there, the conditions have improved enough for us to move forward with a normal school day. If your child rides the bus, please have them stay inside until they actually see the bus pulling up so they’re not waiting out in the cold.
Take your time in the morning, drive carefully, and we’ll see everyone at school tomorrow. Stay safe out there.

Sandoval Jr./Sr. High School and Sandoval Elementary will be closed tomorrow due to an abundance of caution following our review of bus routes and the latest weather alerts. The safety of our students, staff, and families always comes first, and the current conditions make travel unsafe.
To ensure the safety of all students and staff, the district will implement an E‑Learning Day for Wednesday, January 28th. Students packets and information were provided earlier in the month. Students should log in and complete assignments as directed by their teachers. Students who attend Kaskaskia College should remember to contact their instructors if they are unable to attend class as the college has posted that it is in session.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize the well‑being of our school community. Please stay safe and monitor district communication channels for any further updates.
